Dreamgirls chronicles the tumultuous rise to fame of a talented trio of singers from Detroit. Set in the 1960s, this musical takes place at the intersection of the vibrant Motown music era and the Civil Rights Movement. The Dreamettes get their big break when they catch the attention of car salesmen turned manager, Curtis Taylor, Jr., who quickly launches them on a successful recording career. But each girl pays a price and not everyone gets their due. Prepare a verse and chorus from the song of your choice. Dance auditions to be held at callbacks. All voice parts welcome!
